To our Cathedral family,
Walk our halls this summer and you will see more than fresh paint. You will see a promise taking shape.
Two years ago we asked a simple question: what should a Catholic school in the heart of downtown Raleigh look like for its next hundred years? Our city is growing and innovating all around us, and we believe our school should rise with it. Not by chasing what is new, but by building the way cathedrals have always been built: on purpose, to last, with Christ as the cornerstone.
We call our plan the Blueprint of Excellence, and it is already under construction. Our House of Innovation is open, a space where students build, test, and create. Our library and classrooms have been remade. Our character and leadership curriculum, the foundation of everything we do, enters its next year in every grade.
Families are noticing. In a little over a year, enrollment has grown from 170 students to 254. That growth is not the goal. It is the evidence. The goal is what it has always been: children who love God, love learning, and love each other, formed for who they are becoming.
The growth is not the goal. It is the evidence.
There is one more element on this blueprint, and it is the boldest. We intend to raise $1.6 million in sponsorships so that every Cathedral family receives one year of tuition, free. A gift to the families of a growing city, from the people who believe in what is being built here.
Come walk the site. Schedule a tour, ask hard questions, and see what excellence looks like when it is built on faith.
With gratitude and blessings,
Principal Witherspoon
